This luxurious and carefully restored house built in 1686 sleeps twenty guests,sixteen in the main house with a further four in the nearby Dovecote.Horsington Grange was the village rectory and now stands in four acres of beautifully tended formal gardens with a further eleven acres of paddock, home to ponies and sheep. The formal dining room is perfect for winter parties and our stunning Orangery, ideal for summer entertaining, opens out onto lawns.
If our on site entertainment - swimming pool, hard tennis court, snooker, sauna, hot tub, horse riding, football, croquet and a cinema room - doesn't keep you fully occupied we are close to some of the most beautiful National Trust houses in the country, as well as lovely country towns. The nearby abbey town of Sherborne is historically important, and the beautiful City of Wells boasts one of the finest catherdrals in the western world. For those who like to stroll there are plenty of local walks and, for those more adventurous, the World Heritage Jurassic coast is within easy reach.
The Grange is a majestic former Georgian Rectory, set in seventeen acres of private parkland in the attractive Somerset village of Horsington. The house has a stone-flagged main hall, four elegant reception rooms, a farmhouse kitchen with four-oven Aga, and eight bedrooms accommodating up to eighteen people.
