Snow, snow and more snow.

  We're used to the occasional drop of rain in Somerset - it's the reason we are such a beautiful, green county - but this has been extreme and surprising. Despite the travel difficulties the Grange was able to provide its usual warm welcome to guests who were determined to get to us from all parts of the country to celebrate a special occasion.

The snow made things so much more fun for small and grown up children alike, with snowmen having a stand off in the garden, and snowballs flying in all directions. Then back to the luxury and warmth of the Aga, or log fires while enjoying a game of snooker or table tennis. For intrepid souls there was a glass of wine under the stars in the hot tub followed by an evening of superb food provided by one of our local caterers, rounded off with a favourite film in the cinema room before sinking into a superbly comfortable bed made up with White Company linen.
